QuuxPlayer Features: Wireless GamePad OperationSetting the StageLet's say you want to use your PC to listen to music. Let's also say you're on the couch and not at your desk. That PC is connected to your stereo and is several feet away from where you are. You've got a few choices:
The Wireless Gamepad DifferenceRemember when every stereo system had a big, friendly knob that you turned to change the volume? And then manufacturers figured out they could save a buck or two by replacing them with "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" buttons. And that really sucked. Now we have the same problem, only it's with PC music players. You have to click or drag to find what you want or to adjust controls. Or you can shell out a bunch of cash and get a PC remote control, but still with the same kind of buttons. And it still sucks. But it turns out that there is a solution. A simple, cheap wireless gamepad turns out to be the most insanely great music controller ever. But you need a music player that's built from the ground up to work with it. QuuxPlayer is that music player, designed from day one to make finding and playing your music easy, simple, and comfortable. Gamepads have a set of easy to use buttons and most importantly, two analog control sticks that take you quickly to what you want to hear. They feel great in your hand but don't easily get lost in the couch cushions. They're a great way to navigate your music library and start connecting with the music rather than attending to your software. A Quick How-ToQuuxPlayer features two lists: on the left is a list of categories, for example, all the albums in your library, or a list of your playlists. You can change which category is selected by pressing the POV left or right buttons on your gamepad (or use your mouse or keyboard to do the same thing.) On the right is a list of all the tracks in your library, and if you've selected something from the category list, you'll see the tracks that fit in that category on the right. Use the analog controls to move up and down in either list. You can start with a list of 200,000 tracks and get to the songs you want in a matter of moments. All while relaxing. You don't even have to look at the controller to do it! Integrated HelpJust choose Show Gamepad Help from the Help menu or hold down gamepad Button 10 and you'll get an interactive screen that shows you what each gamepad button does:
